Žiga Predan vodi produkcijsko hišo Pekinpah v Ljubljani in sicer na področju uprizoritvenih umetnosti in sodobnega plesa.

"V organizaciji pa se ukvarjamo še s teorijo industrijskega oblikovanja, področje vodita Barbara Predan in Petra Černe Oven, in področje glasbe v okviru deluje glasbena skupina Silence.

Februarja bomo v Berlinu oz. nemčiji pripravljali dva projekta in sicer predstavo House, koreografa Mateja Kejžarja skupaj s 3 mednarodnimi plesalci v Uferstudijih v Berlinu in sicer med 6 - 24 februarjem z javno predstavitvijo med 22-24 februarjem (točen datum bo znan v naslednjih dneh)."

 

MATEJ KEJŽAR: HIŠA
Predstavitev dela v nastajanju o utopiji in skupnem obstoju

Hiša je druga predstava Mateja Kejžarja iz Utopične trilogije, ki se ukvarja z vsebino dela Mesto sonca (The City of The Sun). Moč knjige, v kateri avtor Tommaso Campanella govori o narodu v obdobju razcveta, je v prikazu tega, kako ljudje negujejo skupna prepričanja in obenem živijo vsak na svoj način. Ti načini pa so bili ob nastanku omenjenega dela, v obdobju tik po odkritju Amerike, marsikje v navzkrižju z duhom časa. Hiša je hiša plesa, hiša je hiša avantgarde, hiša je prostor za zidovi, zastrt pred zunanjim svetom. Hiša je hiša plesnega jezika, ki žene ljudi naprej. Hiša je plesna predstava, katere korenine segajo v avantgardno zapuščino temnopoltih ameriških homoseksualcev iz osemdesetih let. Hiša sledi premisi, da je nastopil čas vrnitve 'v hišo' in odmika od prevladujočih tokov. Predstava Hiša bolj kot bivanje v skupnosti zagovarja koncept skupnega obstoja. Če so Campanello njegove ideje pahnile v ječo in če je ta ječa postala njegova hiša, kjer je zapisoval ideje za knjigo – kako se danes odraža hiša, ki bi nam omogočila revolucionarni ples? Predstava Hiša je posvečena vsem tistim, ki verjamejo v moč avantgarde.

Matej Kejžar (SI/BE)
1974, Kranj, Slovenija
Matej Kejžar (Ljubljana, SI/Bruselj, BE) je po izobraževanju pri Trishi Brown, na amsterdamski fakulteti SNDO in na podiplomskem programu X-Group šole za sodobni ples P. A. R. T. S. sodeloval s kolektivom Rosas (predstavi The Song, Cesena), po vsem svetu pa snuje tudi samostojne predstave. Med zadnjimi so mednarodno cenjena Verbalizacijska trilogija in številne koreografije, ki jih je ustvaril za vodilna svetovna imena plesa oziroma v sodelovanju z njimi, od Sao Paula do Singapurja. Predstava Rave je nastala po naročilu festivala v Avignonu, kjer je leta 2015 tudi doživela premiero.

Stanislav Dobák (SK/BE)
1987, Poprad, Slovaška
Stanislav Dobák je študiral ples na Konservatoriju J. L. Belle na Slovaškem in izobraževanje sklenil na šoli za sodobni ples P. A. R. T. S. v Bruslju, kjer zdaj živi in deluje kot koreograf, plesalec, fotograf in filmski ustvarjalec. Kot plesalec je delal s koreografi, kot so Salva Sanchis, Daniel Linehan in Pierre Droulers. Pri ustvarjanju lastnih koreografij in del je sodeloval tudi s Petrom Savlom in se z njimi dvakrat uvrstil na letni seznam najvidnejših ustvarjalcev mreže Aerowaves.

Riccardo Guratti (IT/NL)
1985, Italija
V Amsterdamu živeči Riccardo Guratti je študij sodobnega plesa začel na rimski Accademii Nazionale di Danza, raziskovanje pa nadaljeval na SNDO v Amsterdamu. Nastopal je v predstavah, pri katerih je med drugim sodeloval z Barbaro Lucarini, Jeanom Huguesom Miredinom, Davidejem Sportellijem (Sasha Waltz & Guests), Katie Duck, Davidom Zambranom, Benoîtom Lachambrejem, Matejem Kejžarjem, Robertom Steijnom in Martenom Spangbergom. Leta 2010 je začel ustvarjati lastne predstave, med katerimi so Work on S, Meat Meetings, Creatures, All Broken Shells, Sinking Ever, Love Attempts in Kaly Huga effect.

Peter de Vuyst (BE)
1989, Belgija
Mladi belgijski plesalec Peter De Vuyst je študiral in se izpopolnjeval v priznanih ustanovah, kot so amsterdamska šola za umetnost AHK, bruseljska šola za sodobni ples P. A. R. T. S. in eksperimentalna plesna akademija v Salzburgu. Med drugim je nastopal v predstavah True Romance/Prava stvar in Klub 1 2 Mateja Kejžarja, ELDORADO Bénédicta Mottarta, Birdwatching 4×4 Benjamina Vandewalleja in Centipedes Marca Torriceja.

Petra Veber (SI)
1971, Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenija
Diplomantka ljubljanske fakultete za arhitekturo Petra Veber je priznana scenografka na področjih gledališča in plesa, kjer deluje vse od leta 1993. Soustvarila je več kot 100 predstav in za svoje delo prejela številna priznanja, med drugim veliko nagrado na 29. Tednu slovenske drame (1999), posebno nagrado za predstavo Misfits(z) na sarajevskem gledališkem festivalu (2007), Borštnikovo nagrado za predstavi Romantične duše (2007) in Raztrganci (2008), Šeligovo nagrado za predstavi Romantične duše (2008) in Rokovnjači (2013), nagrado za najboljšo predstavo na 11. Teaterfestu v Sarajevu (2008), nagrado zlata ptica za scenografske dosežke (2011), nagrado Ksenije Hribar za oblikovanje scene na področju sodobnega plesa (2013) in za najboljšo predstavo – Eden (2013) ter nagrado občinstva za predstavo Stoli na festivalu ArtOkraina v Sankt Peterburgu (2014).

House is Matej Kejžar’s second performance of the Utopian trilogy on the research of the writings of the book The City of The Sun. The power of the book, where author Tommaso Campanella is speaking about prosperous nation, lays in the way people nourish common believe and at the same time live by their own ways. Ways which were in lot of places in conflict with the time when book was done, the time when America was just discovered. House is a house of dance, house is a house of avant-garde, house is a space behind the walls away from the outer world. House is the house of dancing language moving people further. House is a dance performance finding its roots in the avant-garde legacy from black American gay people from the 80’s. House is embracing the idea that the time right now is to go back to the “house” and away from the main stream. House performance believes in the concept of collected being rather than collective living. If his ideas brought Campanella to the prison, and if that prison became his house where he wrote these ideas in the book, what is the reflection of kind of a house today, that could allow us to make revolutionary dance. House is devoted to all the people which believe in the power of avant-garde.

Matej Kejžar (SI/BE)
b. 1974, Kranj, Slovenia
Educated at Trisha Brown’s, SNDO and X-GROUP P.A.R.T.S., Matej Kejžar (Ljubljana, SI/ Brussels, BE) has been working with Rosas (The Song; Cesena) and creating his own performances throughout the world, including the internationally acclaimed Verbalisation Trilogy and numerous choreographies developed for, and in collaboration with, the leading world dance talents from Sao Paulo to Singapore. Kejžar’s performance Rave was commissioned by, and premiered at, the 2015 Festival d’Avignon.

Stanislav Dobák (SK/BE)
b. 1987, Poprad, Slovakia
Stanislav studied dance in the Conservatory J. L. Bellu, Slovakia and graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, Belgium. Based in Brussels, Belgium, Stanislav Dobák is a choreographer, dancer, photographer and film maker. He has performed for choreographers such as Salva Sanchis, Daniel Linehan and Pierre Droulers and has made his own choreographies and works with Peter Savel that were twice selected as priority company for Aerowaves.

Riccardo Guratti (IT/NL)
b. 1985, Italy
Amsterdam based Riccardo Guratti started studying contemporary dance at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome and continued his research at SNDO Amsterdam. He worked as performer with Barbara Lucarini, Jean Hugues Miredin, Davide Sportelli (Sasha Waltz & Guests), Katie Duck, David Zambrano, Benoît Lachambre, Matej Kejžar, Robert Steijn, Marten Spangberg and others. Guratti begins to develop his performances in 2010 such as: Work on S, Meat Meetings, Creatures, All Broken Shells, Sinking Ever, Love Attempts and Kaly Huga effect.

Peter de Vuyst (BE)
b. 1989, Belgium
Peter De Vuyst is a young Belgian dancer and performer who has studied and trained in renowned institutions such as the Amsterdam School of Arts (AHK), the Performing Arts and Research & Training Studios (P.A.R.T.S.) in Brussels, and the Experimental Academy of Dance in Salzburg, Austria. His performing experience include among others: True Romance & Club 1 2, by Matej Kejžar, ELDORADO, by Bénédicte Mottart, Birdwatching 4×4, by Benjamin Vandewalle, and Centipedes by Marco Torrice.

Petra Veber (SI)
b. 1971, Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia
A graduate of University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Architecture, Petra Veber has been an acclaimed set designer in the theatre and dance field since 1993. She worked on more than 100 performances in received numerous awards such as the Grand Prix at the 29th Week of Slovenian Drama (1999), Special Award for Misfits(z) at Sarajevo Theatre Fest (2007); the Borštnik Award for Romantične duše (2007) and Raztrganci (2008), the Šeligo Award for Romantične duše (2008) and Rokovnjači (2013), the Award for the best performance at the 11th Festival Taterfest, Sarajevo (2008), the Golden Bird Award for scenographic work (2011), the Ksenija Hribar Award for scenographic work in dance (2013) and for the best performance - Eden (2013), and the audience award for Stoli at the ArtOkraina in St.Petersburg, Russia (2014).
